Welcome!

                   My name is Carissa Wade-Rolle, and I currently teach, tutor and mentor. I have experience with all grade levels. My love for teaching developed when I was three years old.

                   My Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher modeled what teaching is about! When it was time to leave her class, she had me promise her that I would be the best teacher and make a difference for our students. I must say that this statement changed my life.

                    In addition to my Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher, both of my parents have been teachers as well. My mom opened a school in Queens, NY, and my father taught at the college level and is currently making a difference in the lives of middle schoolers. Unfortunately, I lost my mom a few years ago to cancer, but she left such an impact on my life, and her love for students was passed down to me! Teaching is not only a passion for me; it's a calling.

                    In my early years of teaching, I  was honored by receiving the Teacher of the Year award! This was such an honor not only for me but for my family, friends, and students. I acquired my Master’s degree in Curriculum Planning as well as Educational Leadership.

                 Baed on the theoretical and experiential knowledge that I acquired has positioned me and given me a unique perspective on developing effective curriculums for learners. Creating the curriculums for tutoring sessions has been a joy because I have included information that I believe the public school is missing. I believe every person can learn, and it is the teachers' noble role to facilitate learning! It is crucial to bring joy back to learning for everyone! Learning to be effective cannot be drudgery but must be FUNdamental. 

                  To maximize teaching/learning, teacher, student, and parents/guardians must work together, and the curriculum should include real-life situations.  I am proud to say that I have had an excellent relationship with my students’ parents throughout my teaching career. My student's parents/guardians are my teammates, and we work together to get these future leaders ready for the next grade. I expose my students to real-life situations and how to go about solving them. Through this excellent program, students will get the opportunity to interact with real-world experiences and excel in academics. I am here to support my parents/families in any way possible!
